Terms and Conditions

Payment processing

Payment for your order may be made by credit or debit card, via PayPal, or (if you have a UK bank account) by cheque. Card payments will be processed securely by Stripe.

If you have a UK bank account, you may pay by cheque: you can choose this option on the checkout page. But please note that we cannot accept cheques drawn on banks outside the UK. If you are paying by cheque, your order will be sent as soon as your cheque is received.

If you experience any problems with the online payment system, or wish to use another method of payment (for example bank-to-bank transfer), please do not proceed with your order but send us an e-mail instead.

Our site does not use cookies, but to access secure websites like Stripe and PayPal your browser must be configured to accept them.

Despatch and delivery of your order

Books ordered through this website are normally despatched by second class mail to addresses within UK, and by Royal Mail International Standard to other countries, but we reserve the right to use other methods at our discretion if it seems to us advisable for speed and security.

Orders for delivery to addresses outside Europe can usually be sent by surface mail (Royal Mail International Economy) on request. If you prefer surface mail, do not complete your order; send us an e-mail instead.

Once your order is confirmed and payment is made, we shall use our best endeavours to deliver your order promptly, and in any case within the following time limits:

If you have not received your order after the above limits have expired, please send us an e-mail message and we shall take all reasonable steps to see you get your order without further delay.

If on receipt any book is damaged or defective, please let us know by sending us an e-mail message or by letter or telephone. We undertake to replace without charge books that are damaged or defective on receipt, provided you inform us promptly of the circumstances. We may, at our absolute discretion, require you to return the damaged or defective books, in which case your reasonable postage and packing costs will be refunded.

Charges on delivery

In some countries, including member-states of the European Union, you may be charged customs, VAT and a handling charge on delivery. Unfortunately this is outside our control.
